The Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy purchased this property adjacent to Sullivan County's Lake Makoma and State Game Land #13 for transfer to the Makoma Conservancy and Foundation. The land protected by this project is important to the water quality of both Lake Makoma and Loyalsock Creek

The Makoma Conservancy and Foundation plans to keep the property, which is almost entirely drained by Conklin Run, open for appropriate recreational use by the public.
