DEAN R. FISHER ENDOWMENT
"I would like to emphasize to you the importance of the Conservancy's mission. The quality of life for future generations is at stake. Northcentral Pennsylvania has a beauty and wealth of natural resources that are special, adding to our community in countless ways. Without the success of organizations like the Conservancy, our natural heritage would be lost." |

Dean R. Fisher was instrumental in propelling the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy forward during its first decade of existence. His enthusiasm, leadership, and guidance as Vice-Chairman, Chairman, and Director Emeritus allowed the organization to grow and work toward protecting and preserving lands and landmarks of special natural and historic value in northcentral Pennsylvania.
Fisher volunteered countless hours of his time to the Conservancy for both administrative and land protection purposes. He was often the guiding force behind the scenes working to move projects forward. His support for the organization did not end with his passing in April 2000. In his will he bequeathed $20,000 to the Conservancy, the beginning of the Dean R. Fisher Endowment of the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy. This endowment provides critical general operating and land protection support for the Conservancy. Due to his planning and foresight, the organization he so strongly believed in will continue to grow and work towards protecting the lands and landmarks of the region. Additional contributions are being accepted for the Dean R. Fisher Endowment.
