The Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy purchased this land adjoining World’s End State Park at a real estate auction. The land formed the northern and eastern boundaries of the park and contained developable sites. The land also contained a mile of the Loyalsock Trail and part of the area visible from Canyon Vista. The Vista, high above Loyalsock Creek, provides a breathtaking view down the valley toward the park and the village of Forksville. The purchase of this land assured protection of park, trail, and valley view. The NPC transferred the land to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Bureau of Forestry for use as State Forest land.
