The landowner wanted to place a conservation easement on only 23 acres of her 35-acre property. This portion of the property is very important as it provides protection for Jay’s Run, a tributary to Quenshukeny Run, which feeds into the West Branch Susquehanna River near Linden. The conservation easement also protects the public view of more than 1,300 feet of protected woodland along a township road.
